2004 Campaign
  • 15,000 volunteers supported United Way and the campaign.
  • 52,000 donors invested in United Way.
  • 1,300 organizations stepped up to the challenge and ran a workplace campaign.
  • There were 141 new workplace campaigns this year ­ happening in all areas of the city.
  • 70 per cent of total campaign donations came from individuals, whether in the workplace or in the community.
  • 650 United Way Day of Caring projects took place, that's a total of 24,000 hours of volunteering! The projects gave 5,800 people the chance to learn about community issues first-hand.
  • 236 speakers from local agencies helped educate workplace groups about the needs in our community and the work of United Way.
