Meet the BeCause Co-Chairs: Ryan Jennings and Sheenah Rogers

When not volunteering with BeCause…

Ryan:

I run a busy financial planning practice, as well as serve as a corporate director for a number of Canadian companies. When I’m not volunteering mentoring the next generation of business leaders, I’m working on my golf handicap and trotting the globe.

Sheenah:

Running a boutique Communications firm, Anstice Communications, where we specialize in providing services to real estate developers and the tourism/hospitality sectors. Mainly, this allows me to fund my shoe-fetish and my travel bug! 

I got involved BeCause…

Ryan:

United Way has an expertise when it comes to return on community investment that first drew me in. Their work is about collaboration and tackling root cause issues rather than just servicing needs with band-aid solutions. They also target donor dollars based on where the needs are greatest based on research, getting donors both good value and return for their investment. As if that wasn’t enough, I learn from and meet amazing people all the time.

Sheenah:

There is a major shift in demographics in Calgary and across the world. My generation represents the future leaders of society and I feel it is my obligation as a representative of a younger audience to encourage and motivate my peers to give back to their community. BeCause is the medium by which this group can begin to become involved.
