On September 17, join GenNEXT for an interactive evening where curiosity meets thoughtfully designed prompts, turning simple questions into lasting impressions.

All of that over good food, drinks and even better company.

What to expect:

In a group, you’ll rotate through four themed conversation stations, exploring topics that shape how we live, work and connect with one another.

We’ll introduce GenNEXT, walk through the evening and share a few simple guidelines to create a welcoming, respectful and judgment free space.

Rotate through four conversation stations inspired by United Way’s focus areas.

Each station features engaging prompts designed to spark thoughtful conversations, challenge assumptions and help you see familiar issues through new perspectives.

Who is this event for?
Young professionals and community minded people in their 20s and 30s looking to meet peers, broaden their perspective and build meaningful connections.

What food and drinks are included?
Your ticket includes light refreshments and a selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.

Where can I park?
Street parking is available and free after 6:00 pm.

How do I get into the building?
Enter ATCO’s East Tower (909) from the corner of 8 Street and 11 Avenue. We’ll greet you there and guide you to The 9 Building Lounge.

What is The 9 Lounge?
The 9 is a private lounge-style event space with a mix of comfortable seating, tables and gathering areas that we’ll use throughout the evening.

Can I come alone?
Yes! Many attendees come on their own. The evening is intentionally designed to make meeting new people feel natural and comfortable.

Can I be seated with someone I know in my rotation group?
Of course! While we encourage you to embrace the opportunity to meet new people, we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

What if I’m more of a listener than a talker?
Listening is just as valuable as sharing. Participate in whatever way feels most comfortable. Every perspective adds to the conversation.

What if meeting new people doesn’t come naturally to me?
You’re not alone. Thoughtfully designed prompts help take the pressure off starting conversations, making it easy to connect from the moment you sit down.

Nope. Simply bring your curiosity and an open mind.

Each conversation is guided by thoughtfully designed prompts and grounded in curiosity, respect and open mindedness. There are no right answers, only an opportunity to learn from different perspectives in a welcoming, judgment free environment.

How personal do the conversations get?
Every prompt is an invitation, not an expectation. Share what feels comfortable to you and feel free to simply listen. The conversations are designed to encourage curiosity and connection, not to put anyone on the spot.
