Vice President, Campaign & Resource Development
Kathleen MacPherson joined United Way of Calgary and Area in March 2003 as a Campaign Manager and has had a steady progression of responsibility and authority throughout her time here. Her longevity with United Way speaks both to her dedication to the core principals of UWCA and to her excellent team leadership and project management skills. Kathleen brings more than a decade of experience in leadership, project management, campaign best practice, fundraising and volunteering. Most recently in 2014, her role as Co-Chair of National Philanthropy Week garnered much exposure for United Way of Calgary and Area and was a tremendous success.
As the Vice President of the United Way of Calgary and Area Campaign & Resource Development, Kathleen drives innovation and vision for the annual campaign while maximizing revenue and opportunities for partnerships. In this role her focus is on inspiring and energizing the campaign team to engage senior community leaders and partners to deliver high energy and high impact campaigns.
Kathleen is a native Calgarian who believes this city has the potential for great things and wants to be a part of that journey. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications degree from the University of Calgary, is certified through the National Program in Fundraising Education, is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Calgary, and is an active member and former member of the board with the Calgary Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
