New research report a guide for flood recovery

from crisis to resiliency flood report cover

United Way's latest research report, From Crisis to Resiliency, brings together promising practices from comparable disasters that have occurred across the world over the past fifteen years, as well as local data on the Calgary flood and recovery. It explores key areas that are likely to be major challenges following a natural disaster:

  • Basic needs
  • Housing
  • Domestic violence
  • Mental health
  • Recovery planning and management

The report also lists initiatives involved in the flood recovery, so we can maximize resources and coordinate efforts. Lists of initiatives will be extracted from the report, updated weekly and posted on this page.
