Second annual June Dresses campaign aimed at empowering women and girls

June Dresses: Empowering women through dressFor the second year, the June Dresses campaign is open to women who want to make a difference in the lives of women and girls. Thanks to program partner Vista Projects, women from across the city are invited to wear dresses throughout the month of June.

Last year’s pilot campaign raised over $10,000 to support women in our city. This year, funds raised through June Dresses will support our All In for Youth initiative. All In for Youth is aimed at reducing high school dropouts in Calgary by 50%. A sub-strategy, All In for Girls, focuses specifically on female students. Led by United Way’s Women’s Leadership Council, All In for Girls empowers Calgary girls to complete high school with confidence, connections and choices.
