June Dresses raises over $64,000 for United Way

The second annual June Dresses fundraising campaign raised $64,441 in support of our All In for Youth initiative!

After running a small pilot campaign in 2013, Vista Projects signed on as program sponsor for 2014 and expanded June Dresses to the broader Calgary population. By the end of June 2014, over 300 participants had created personal pledge pages through junedresses.ca.

“Thanks to Vista’s incredible community leadership, June Dresses was even bigger and better this year,” says Lucy Miller, President and CEO of United Way of Calgary and Area.

A huge thank you to program sponsor, Vista Projects, a Calgary-based engineering firm with a passion for supporting community campaigns, for making June Dresses such a success.

“I’m proud that Vista has gotten behind a charitable campaign that specifically supports women,” says Cristina Baciu, Principal, Process Engineering Group Lead at Vista. “This is a great way for women in an engineering company, which is typically male-dominated, to connect with one another and bond over a common activity and purpose. It is also a great way to bring attention to a very important cause.”
