Poverty is a complex social issue and although we may not always see it, poverty lives in our midst.  At United Way, we believe that poverty can be reduced in our city.  In order to focus dually on immediate and long-term positive change, United Way has partnered with all levels of government, the business community, social service organizations and community members. Through targeted support and collective action, we can implement measures that result in long-term systemic change and gives people the means to move from poverty to possibility.
