Genesis Centre celebrates Grand Opening!
The Genesis Centre of Community Wellness is opening its doors to the public with a weekend of celebrations on January 14 - 15, 2012.   The official ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on January 14 at 11 a.m. by Mayor Naheed Nenshi.  Various activities and cultural events will be happening during the rest of the two days.
United Way of Calgary Announces Appointment of New President & CEO
The Board of Directors of United Way of Calgary and Area is very pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Lucy Miller as its newest President and CEO. Poised to bring impressive ideas and enthusiasm to the organization, Dr. Miller also brings with her an extensive skill set, supported by her most recent position as Chief Superintendent of the Calgary Catholic School District, a position she has held since 2007.   Click here to read the full media release.
