WHAT WE DO
WHAT WE DO

United Way of Calgary and Area works with the community and understands how a hand up during challenging times makes a difference for people in vulnerable situations.
Various income support programs exist to provide financial benefits to those who do not have the resources to meet their basic needs, like food, clothing and shelter. Income supports as well as affordable housing and rental assistance can be a few mouse clicks away for those who are struggling with meeting those primary needs. Similarly, government programs like GST rebates, childcare assistance, and medical expense tax credits could be additional source of incomes for lower-income Calgarians.
The Benefits Navigator is a simple online tool that was developed specifically to assist Calgarians with identifying the municipal, provincial and federal government and financial supports available, and to ultimately help put additional dollars in the pockets of those who need it.
The Benefits Navigator is simple and easy to use. By simply inputting family and income information, the tool will help the user identify eligibility for various financial benefits and credits, and also provide a direct link to the applicable programs so the user can easily follow up and apply for assistance where available.
