Vance Langford profileAs a Partner with Field Law, Vance Langford leads the firm’s business immigration practice, providing services to clients across Canada and internationally.  Vance also practices corporate and commercial law with a particular emphasis on cross-border business, trade and investment.

Vance is an officer of the Canadian Bar Association, National Immigration Law Section.  He has published and presented extensively on immigration law.  Vance is also a founding member of the Canadian Bar Association, Children’s Law Committee.

An active member in the Calgary community, he is past Chair, Board of Directors of Distress Centre Calgary and a former Big Brother.  Vance currently  serves on the Board of Governors of Bow Valley College, is Chair of the Board of Directors of the Talent Pool Development Society of Calgary and is an advisor and mentor with the Calgary Region Immigrant Employment Council.

Vance has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations, a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of British Columbia, and a Master of Laws Degree with Distinction from the University of Dundee, Scotland.

Vance has volunteered with the United Way of Calgary and Area since 2007 on Campaign Cabinet and Board Investment and Public Policy Committees. Vance joined the United Way of Calgary & Area's Board of Directors in 2015. 

He was elected to the UWCA Board of Directors in 2015.
