Corporate Data Specialist

Position Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the United Way IT team to assist in corporate data clean up. Your strong organizational and interpersonal skills will be put to use in the fast paced interesting United Way environment. Specifically you would be developing an inventory of our corporate data and identifying redundancy, ownership and proposing a better way for United Way to manage its data. You will need to be able to meet/facilitate and host meetings to discover owner of data and work with end users to create groups and permissions and ensure elimination of duplications. You would be playing an integral role on the IT team working with United Way’s 100+ employees to understand the documentation, files that exist and work through the logistics of proper ownership and management of the Data Share. This is a six month half time position.

Skills & Experience: Must be knowledgeable and have worked with Windows Server (specifically permissions and groups) Business Analyst Highly developed interpersonal and facilitation skills Project Manager File Management Customer Service

Outcomes: Develop and implement a data management system for the United Way of Calgary.

Training Provided: United Way IT staff will provide orientation and support as required.

Operational IT Support Specialist

Position Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day to day operational support to United Way’s IT team. Your IT skills will be put to use in the fast paced interesting United Way Environment. You would be playing an integral role on the IT team, providing leadership and support to United Way’s 100+ employees. This is a six month half time position.

Skills & Experience: AD (Windows Server 2003) Exchange 2003 (adds, moves, installs) Thin Client (XP embedded skill set) Print Queues/configuration (Xerox) Vlans Day to day administrative tasks in a windows server environment General knowledge of how terminal services work including profiles and navigation for adds, moves, installs and changes

Document Management Specialist

Position Description: The successful senior level candidate will be responsible for working with United Way of Calgary Area’s managers to create a document management strategy and high level plan for United Way. You would be playing an integral role on the IT team, providing direction, support and advice to United Way’s leadership. This is a four month half time position.

Skills & Experience: Senior Business Analyst Project Management Document Management Facilitation Skills

Outcomes: Develop and implement a document management plan for the United Way of Calgary.

Office 2003/2007 Productivity Training Specialist

Position Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a training program for Office 2003/2007 software for United Way’s 100+ staff. Training would be for basic, intermediate and advanced users. Your work would increase office productivity for United Way staff and have tremendous impact for the organization. This is a six month half time position.

Skills & Experience: Strong Interpersonal Skills Project Management In Depth Knowledge of Office 2003 and 2007 Productivity Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Experience Training both in Group and One on One Settings Ability to analyze training gaps and develop training for beginner, intermediate and advanced users.

Outcomes: Increased productivity among United Way staff in their work as a result of more effective usage of Office 2003/2007.
