2335 Logo Young. Dynamic. Diverse. 2335: A United Way Initiative connects young adults to their community in ways that reflect - and are flexible with - their active lifestyles and passions. This growing network offers new and diverse community-focused endeavours with wide appeal, from one-time events to ongoing community action projects.

Volunteers on the 2335 Think Tank are passionate about making social change in Calgary. Focused on the issue of vulnerable youth, they’re equally passionate about engaging a new generation of Calgarians in, and with, the community by:

  • building awareness about vulnerable youth in Calgary;
  • linking young Calgarians to the issue of vulnerable youth in a powerful way; and
  • facilitating opportunities for community action, volunteerism and charitable giving.

In 2006-07, 2335 is co-chaired by Jennifer MacKay of WAX Partnership Incorporated and Beth Brownie of Trident Exploration Corp. The initiative was spearheaded in 2005 by past-chair Matt O'Neill of Jack FM.

2nd Annual 2335 Timeraiser

Framework Calgary Timeraiser 2006 a Success! 2335: A United Way Initiative is thrilled to report that the Timeraiser co-hosted on Saturday, June 14th with Framework Foundation was a tremendous success.

Held at Victoria’s Lounge on 17th Avenue, the Timeraiser was an art auction with a twist: instead of bidding money, young adults bid volunteer time to community agencies that need their skills and energy. The art winners now have 12 months to complete their volunteer pledge -- they will receive the artwork as a reminder of their goodwill at next year’s Timeraiser.

A big THANK YOU goes out to everyone who was a part of this amazing event! Click here to see the entire article and here to see a list of participating agencies.
