For people living on low incomes, tax time really can pay. In many cases, they must file a tax return to be eligible for government programs and benefits.

These programs and benefits can relieve some of the financial stress felt by ALL people living on a low income by saving them money, putting more money in their pockets or by providing services they would not otherwise qualify for.

United Way has teamed with a number of local organizations to make sure they, and the people they assist, know about the following government programs and benefits - and the importance of filing an annual tax return.

During tax time, several partner organizations provide information and application forms for these programs and benefits during their tax clinics.
