In every community there is work to be done . . . In every heart there is the power to do it. - Marianne Williamson
Our workplace campaigns bring hearts together and make powerful contributions and even more powerful changes in the community.
Workplace campaigns bring organizations closer by promoting team building and building morale - at every level. Like a heartbeat, they pulse with energy and enthusiasm. And they increase your company’s community profile, building a stronger community, and are a source of pride for employees.
United Way has worked for more than 65 years with organizations like yours to raise money during the annual campaign and throughout the year. Our staff and volunteers will help you tailor a campaign to fit your company’s and employees’ goals and interests.
We can support your campaign by:
In every company is the heart and the power to change.

If you’re planning or organizing a United Way workplace campaign, our Loaned Representatives are an invaluable resource. They bring a wide variety of expertise to your campaign, working directly with your Employee Campaign Coordinator and team to generate support and ensure success. They’ll show you how to get started, help you wrap up and be involved with everything in between.
Each year, United Way recruits more than 30 Loaned Representatives to assist about 1,300 companies and organizations with their workplace campaigns. Many Loaned Representatives are employees borrowed or seconded from businesses and the public sector for up to 16 weeks. Others are sponsored: donor support allows United Way to hire trained professionals for the duration of our annual campaign.
Every Loaned Representative possesses an array of skills, knowledge and experience. We add to their abilities by giving them extensive training to help you create a unique campaign that benefits the community and energizes your organization.

Give us you best - we give them back better.
United Way’s Loaned Representative Program is a unique way for corporate and public sector employees to be involved in the community, to add to and develop new professional skills, and connect with people across the city.
To participate, organizations “loan” employees to United Way for up to 16 weeks during our Annual Campaign. Other organizations and supporters sponsor the hiring of a Loaned Representative from the community; each sponsorship costs $9,000.
Loaned Representatives receive training and experience that increases their understanding of community issues, improves their professional abilities, and ultimately ensures they bring added value back to the workplace. United Way training is valued at $15,000 and increases representatives’ skills in areas such as project management, sales and negotiations, mentoring, fundraising and public speaking.
Working in a team environment, Loaned Representatives gain leadership skills through developing campaign action plans, delivering training sessions and completing detailed account reports. Borrowed Loaned Representatives return to their workplace re-energized and with a fresh perspective.
