The Emergency Community Support Fund will assist United Way's Calgary-area agencies as they respond to the flood. The first wave of human need has hit, but there will be more as people cope with the devastating implications of the disaster. New stresses will emerge for those who have been displaced. Vulnerable people will need extra support.
That's where United Way comes in.
United Way's agencies are experts in supporting families, children and vulnerable people who are experiencing crisis. This expertise is especially crucial right now, which is why United Way activated its emergency fund to support these agencies. Some have had facilities damaged by floodwaters. Others are bracing for an influx of demand for services such as counseling and children's services. Some are already experiencing this demand, and are struggling to keep up.
Your donation will help those in our community who need it most. Until July 10, all online donations to United Way will go to the Emergency Community Support Fund.
