Muslim community steps up to support United Way

muslimThe Muslim Family Network Society rallied their community to support United Way. They stopped by United Way of Calgary this afternoon to make a donation to United Way's Emergency Community Support Fund

"This is from our little organization to you. It's not much, but we know you'll do good with it," says Zouheir Osman of the Muslim Family Network Society.

The community raised $4,000 for United Way's fund. The fund is supporting current and long-term community flood relief, and will go to our partnering agencies as they continue to meet the demand and adjust to the new realities the flood has created.

"Today, you are my everyday hero," says Lucy Miller, President of United Way of Calgary and Area. "This will do so much good, and will help so many people," she adds.

You can donate to the fund up until July 31st.
