Leslie O’Donoghue is Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer for Nutrien. Previously she was Executive Vice President, Corporate Development and Strategy, and Chief Risk Officer. Prior to that Leslie was Executive Vice President, Operations and has had a wide range of responsibilities including legal affairs and corporate governance; government relations; health, safety and security; sustainability and stakeholder relations; internal audit; operational excellence; and mergers and acquisitions.
In 2017, she received the Distinguished Business Leader Award, co-presented by the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business and the Calgary Chamber of Commerce. In 2016, she was recognized with a Queen’s Alumni Award for excelling in a career outside the traditional practice of law. She has also received an Alberta Queen’s Counsel Appointment for her outstanding contributions to legal and public life and was named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers in Canada by Canadian Lawyer magazine.

Before joining Nutrien in 1999, Leslie was a partner in the national law firm of Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. Leslie was born and raised in Calgary; she is married and is the proud mother of two young men.
Leslie was Co-Chair of 2012 Calgary United Way Campaign and is past Chair of the Board Community Impact Committee and a current member of the Board Governance & Development and Strategic Planning Committees.
