Dr. Rhiannon MacDonnell Mesler is an Assistant Professor in Marketing at Dhillon School of Business at University of Lethbridge (Calgary Campus).
She holds a PhD and MSc from the University of Calgary, and a BA from the University of Waterloo. Rhiannon’s research on technology, teamwork, and socially positive behaviors like recycling, ethical consumption and charitable giving was awarded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada at the Graduate, Post-Doctoral and National levels. She was also named an honorary Killam Scholar, and received the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Learning and Teaching.
Rhiannon’s research is featured in top journals including Journal of Marketing and Journal of Consumer Research. Named to Calgary’s Top 40 Under 40 and Marketing Magazine’s 30 Under 30, she completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Alberta and an internship at the United Nations Department of Management in New York City before relocating to Cass Business School in London, UK.
Rhiannon spent many years as a member and later Co-Chair of United Way of Calgary and Area’s Gen Next, founding and then facilitating the Urban Exposure Project and serving on both Campaign Cabinet and the Board of Directors.
She is currently Chair of the United Way of Calgary’s Women United and an ex officio Board member of the United Way of Calgary and Area.
Rhiannon was a founding member of the Classroom Champions International Board of Directors, and has served on other Boards including Federation of Students, and the City Centre for Charity Effectiveness Trust Board of Trustees.
